• Gurley, Fred (1889-1976) - Began railroad career with the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy in 1906 where he was eventually promoted to executive vice president; became vice president of Santa Fe Railroad in 1939; elected president of Santa Fe Railroad 1944-1957; remained a director of the railroad until 1964, when the Santa Fe made him an honorary director for life.
• Guthrie, David Henry (1856-1927) - New Zealand Minister of Railways 1922-1923.
• Guthrie, James (1792-1869) - Vice president of Louisville & Nashville Railroad 1857-1860; president of L&N 1860-1868.
